We were thrilled to play to a packed house at the village hall in the beautiful village of Burton Overy.
The ladies are keen readers – we had the village book club present en masse – and all proved knowledgeable and insightful into the whys and wherefores of novel writing. The questions proved enlightening, with laughs and gaiety throughout, especially as our talk featured the many (sometimes) accidental encounters with famous celebrities, including Jilly Cooper, Tom Parker-Bowles, Aidan Turner, Bryan Ferry, Gloria Hunniford and Dustin Hoffman!
And so generous were the ladies, the raffle raised £100 for Guide Dogs for the Blind, see pictured our inspiration guide dog puppy Quincey! Many thanks to Liz Sturgess for organising the raffle.
